Cover To Cover

This is one of my favorite pieces of art, let alone comic cover, and thanks to a VERY loving and understanding girlfriend (thanks Jo!!!) I have a poster of it hanging on my living room wall. It's the cover of Batman 612 (Hush part V of XII "The Battle") drawn by the legendary Jim Lee. It depicts Supes with a choke hold on Batman, because The Big Blue Boy Scout is under the control of Poison Ivy, but as we all know, Bruce has gotten it over on Clark in the past, and this time was no exception, using Lois Lane, and a Kryptonite ring to his advantage...

I really think that this quote from Batman sums this cover up the best: "If Clark wanted to, he could use his superspeed and squish me into the cement. But I know how he thinks. Even more than the Kryptonite, he's got one big weakness. Deep down, Clark's essentially a good person... and deep down, I'm not."
