This is a really cool multimedia cover,real background with a drawn poster.Rising Stars was one of the main books responsible for pulling me back into comics,and still holds a special place in my heart.Joe Straczynski's story told the tale of 113 superpowered beings in a small town in Illinois,all whom received their powers in utero as a meteor passed over the sky.As they grow together,some use the powers for good,some for bad,and some want nothing to do with any of it.A murderer is killing them off one by one,and as each individual dies,the group get more powerful.The character on the cover is the story's protaganist Poet.We follow him from the beginning until the end,when not many of the "Specials"are left standing.NBC tried to do something similar with the show Heroes,but that fizzled after the first season.Rising Stars is a great read for all 24 issues,I strongly recommend it.
